ABOUT EKHO CHURCH

Who We Are

Born from service and sacrifice, EKHO Church is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and delivering outreach, mental health and peer support, benevolence assistance, and spiritual care to military veterans, their families, and underserved communities worldwide.

Our Story

EKHO Church — Ekklesia Kingdom House Outreach Church — was founded in San Antonio, Texas by Major Kwansah Ackah (U.S. Army, Retired) after more than 20 years of military service, multiple combat deployments, and firsthand experience with the crisis facing America's veterans.

As a commander who lost Soldiers to suicide and a veteran who witnessed the same tragedy among colleagues in the civilian workforce, Major Ackah founded EKHO Church with a single conviction: that no veteran, no family, and no person in crisis should face their darkest moment alone.

EKHO Church is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization operating as an online-first ministry. We break down walls of geography, background, and circumstance to bring hope, healing, and help to those who need it most — locally and globally.

PRESIDENT & FOUNDER • MAJOR, U.S. ARMY (RETIRED)

Major Ackah served over 20 years in the United States Army, including combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. As Commander of the 54th Mortuary Affairs Company, 82nd Sustainment Brigade — the Department of Defense Executive Agent for Mortuary Affairs — he led more than 200 Soldiers in one of the military's most solemn missions.

He served on the faculty at the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a recipient of the Honorable Order of Sergeant Audie Murphy. He is a 100% service-connected disabled veteran.

Major Ackah holds three Master's degrees and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. His commitment to veteran welfare extends beyond service — shaped by the loss of Soldiers and colleagues to veteran suicide.

What We Believe

EKHO Church is grounded in the historic Christian faith and a conviction that the Gospel calls us to action — especially for those who have served and sacrificed.

The Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and governance.

Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — coequal, co-eternal, and co-existent.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone — that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to reach the last, the lost, and the least through love, service, and the proclamation of the Gospel. EKHO Church operates as an expression of this body — functioning beyond physical walls through digital platforms and community outreach.

Outreach & Benevolence

We believe in the biblical mandate to care for the poor, the widow, and the orphan as a primary expression of our faith, providing tangible relief to individuals and families in need — locally and globally.

Service to Veterans & Military Families

We believe that those who have served our nation in uniform deserve the full expression of the Church's love, care, and support. We are committed to providing dedicated outreach, spiritual care, peer support, and tangible benevolence assistance to the veteran community. We recognize the unique challenges faced by veterans including mental health struggles, isolation, and transition from military service, and we commit to being a presence of healing, hope, and community for those who have sacrificed on behalf of others.
